Crane Creek Cabins is a unique property that can rent the entire property to groups or now we are offering individual rentals for each cabin on the property. We cater to riders who love the camping atmosphere but not the crowded campgrounds. Our property was built with groups of friends and family in mind and offers guests a safe and private setting to enjoy. Your group will be the only guests on the property during your stay.
We are located in Montcalm, WV, trailside to Hatfield McCoy Pocahontas trail system with direct access right out of our driveway. The four southern Hatfield-McCoy trail systems of Pocahontas, Indian Ridge, Pinnacle Creek and Warrior offer over 400 miles of connected trails so you can ride all of them without needing to trailer anywhere. Montcalm and the surrounding towns are all atv friendly so once you park and unload you can ride your machines anywhere you would like to go.
Our property has four modern cabins. Additional amenities include a picnic shelter with a food prep table, electric for your small cooking appliances, lighting, and picnic tables. A charcoal grill and a fire pit with a grill and bench seating; all situated along the banks of Crane Creek.
Our cabins were built with families in mind. They will sleep up to eighteen guests with a combined total of ten beds that include three queen beds, three bunks, and four sofa beds.
Cabin 1 - The Ole Man’s Cabin is the largest of the three and has a fully equipped kitchen with cookware, dinnerware, cooking and eating utensils provided. It has a queen bed, a queen pull out sofa, and a twin bed. The full bathroom includes a tub/shower combo.
Cabin 2 - Jordan’s Bunkhouse has a queen pull out sofa in the main room and a set of twin bunks in the bedroom. The kithenette includes a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and a toaster. The full bathroom includes a shower stall.
Cabin 3 - Peyton’s Cottage has a queen pull out sofa in the main room and a queen bed in the bedroom. The kithenette includes a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and a toaster. The full bathroom includes a shower stall.
Cabin 4- Peg’s Place has a queen size bed with a smart TV and a pull out queen size bed in the living room with a fireplace and smart TV and full kitchen and large walk in shower in the bathroom. Outside there is a firepit and grill and seating on the front porch.
All of the cabins have a porch with seating, air conditioner, electric fireplace, smart tv and wi-fi. WE NOW SUPPLY bed and bath linens for the cabins (new for 2024!!).
We DO provide a complimentary initial stock of supplies in each cabin that includes hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. Cabin 1 and Cabin 4 also includes a Kitchen Basket with items to use during your stay, it contains dish soap, dish cloth, dish towel.

STAY WHERE YOU PLAY...
We offer direct access to 400 + miles of Hatfield-McCoy trails. The Pocahontas system is located right out of our driveway so you do not have to ride on the busy paved roads to access the trails. You can take the connector trails to access the Indian Ridge, Pinnacle Creek and Warrior systems. After riding and enjoying the trails come back to camp and enjoy a relaxing evening by the campfire while listening to the creek flow by.
Once you check in, there's no need to get back in your vehicle until you are ready to check out. We are a short ride on ATV approved roads to gas stations, restaurants, convenience stores, car wash, auto parts store, atv store, and laundry mat.
